Andrew Grant Vet MB, MRCVS
After graduating from the University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 1980, I worked in veterinary practice until 1988 when I joined Marine Harvest (Scotland) then, and now, the world`s largest producer of farmed salmon. The following 12 years saw a dramatic improvement in fish health, the development of effective vaccines and medicine and a co-operative approach to fish health within the industry.
In 2001, I joined Novartis Animal Vaccines Ltd as Professional Services Manager until 2006 when I established VetAqua(Scotland)
I have been a member of joint government/industry working group on infectious salmon anaemia; Member of government/industry Aquaculture Health Joint Working Group; Founding chair - Integrated Sea Lice Management (ISLM) Group; Past president - Fish Veterinary Society; Member of Fish Health Experts Group - Federation of Veterinarians in Europe
